Encroach / 07.2019

Through a series of drawings, Norfolk slowly morphs, its edges eroding away. Islands and peninsulas appear, revealed by a rising sea. The series - entitled Encroach - serves to challenge our collective weakness to affect the radical change needed to protect and preserve the environment from the effects of climate change.

Encroach has been, and continues to be,  produced by a highly crafted and bespoke drawing machine; the product of an ongoing personal enquiry into machine building, digital fabrication, programming and drawing.

Encroach was produced as part of the 2019 edition of the Cley annual contemporary art exhibition held in Cley, Norfolk. Ebb & Flow was part of the same annual exhibition, the previous year.
