Lost Spaces / 05.2015

Lost Spaces was the concluding project of the undergraduate degree at ESALA. The project brief focused on the derelict, forgotten and lost spaces of Leith, an ex-industrial borough of the city of Edinburgh.

The course revolved around reshaping a "lost space" of Leith into a place that might better serve the inhabitants and diverse communities found in Leith. My particular proposal took the form of a rehabilitation center for those who have been left amputees as a result of trauma or health complications.

In particular large scale model making was used to aid the development of the proposal with a focus on how rooms would accommodate wheelchair users and other physical disabilities.
